The Better Bottle Difference
- How are our products safer and better? Plastic materials are known to have residual by-products that are formed when the material is polymerized as well as from the molding or forming of the plastic itself. BPA was a highly publicized example, but there are other harmful materials present as well. These newly found substances present a potential health hazard that will only be known in the coming years. In order to protect our children, Innovative Plasma Technologies has developed a patented process we call Pur Ion Technology. It creates a safe and inert protective surface on the inside of plastic bottles that prohibits the migration (or diffusion) of these newly found substances into any products inside of the bottle. This technology protects our children from potential health implications associated with ingesting these materials over time.
- How are our products different? Our products are revolutionary in that they create a glass-like surface of the inside the plastic product (bottle, sippy cup, food storage container, etc.) that stops potentially harmful by-products of the plastic from moving into the food or liquid inside of the container. The coating is so thin that it does not change any of the macro properties of the plastic (flexibility etc.). The coating will not break and is permanently bonded to the inside of the bottle. The Better Bottle products are safe to use in boiling water to sterilize, in the microwave and on the top rack of the dishwasher.
- Are these bottles and sippy cups dishwasher safe? Yes. Simply place it on the top shelf of your dishwasher.
- Is the Pur Ion Technology safe? Our patented Pur Ion Technology creates a very thin layer (less than 1/100 the thickness of a human hair) that is comprised of silicon and oxygen, the main components of sand (and also glass). The surface coating is considered Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA and has been commercially used (in food and beverage applications) for years.
- Will the Pur Ion Technology coating come off when I sterilize the baby bottle or put it in the dishwasher or microwave? No, the surface coating is permanently bonded to the plastic surface. We recommend that you do not use any abrasive products on the inside of the bottle or any bottle scrubbers since the coating is very thin and can be damaged with excessive mechanical abuse.

- How do we ship orders? All orders are shipped via UPS
- Do you ship to Hawaii and Alaska? Yes – additional shipping charges may apply
- Do you ship overseas or to Canada? Not at this time, although we are exploring options to expand internationally
- Can I track my order? An email will be sent to the provided email address when your order is received, process, and shipped. In the email indicating shipment, a UPS tracking number will be provided so you can track your shipment to your door.

- What types of payment do you accept? Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal
- When will my card be charged? Your card will be charged at the time your order is placed
Returns & Exchanges
- How do exchanges and returns work? Please refer to our Returns Policy
- How long will my exchange or return take? We will strive to handle your exchange and/or return as soon as possible. Most exchanges/returns take approximately 7-10 business days to be completed.
Re-selling
- Can I buy your items and re-sell them in my store? Not unless your company has a retail agreement in place with Innovative Plasma Technologies, LLC., (IPT) the maker of The Better Bottle. A retail sales agreement can be put in place by contacting IPT at info@the-betterbottle.com and a representative will contact you directly about the agreement.
